My kids are crazy. It is in their blood. They do and say crazy things. Sit, grab a beer and read about all the reasons why I drink!

Merry Christmas

Those crazy Lunn kids

It was Christmas in July at the campground this weekend. Santa came to ride on the hayride with the kids and give out a bag full of candy, and glow sticks. The kids were all excited. Well, all the kids except Hilary. She was scared to death. She wouldn't even look at the hayride with him on it. Before we started down, Hilary got me to write a list of things she wanted for Christmas this year. She said she knew Santa was going to ask her what she wanted for Christmas, and she was "so not talking to him". I thought she'd be ok to be in the rec hall with him, but nope, she started crying. We gave the list to Sheila to give to Santa.

I took her back to the tailer, and Steve took Zachary and Jacob to see Santa. Of course, the hay ride goes by our trailer (it usually doesn't) and Hilary goes running. My poor baby girl peed her pants she was so scared. She was gagging and everything.

Zachary got her the bag from Santa and brought it back for her.

Friday night we went to the Drive-in movies. We watched bewitched, what we saw was cute. It was Tracey, me and 10 kids. There was always someone who needed to go pee, needed a drink, needed some chips, ect. It was fun, but busy. We didn't stay for the second feature (Madagascar), it would have been 2-230am before we got the kids home, way too late!!! Besides, we were reading to leave after the first movie.

Debbie's mom's cancer is back. Debbie had a rough weekend, so we got drunk Saturday night. Neither of us really drink alot, and Timmy's drinks are STRONG. Debbie was alot worse than I was, she wasn't even up when we left at lunch on Sunday morning. I'll have to call her today to see how she is. Please pray for her mom, and the family.

I hate when people fight. Mom and Bobby were fighting and I hate it. Apparently they talked and he's not moving out like he was going to, but it is still upsetting. I am glad it is over.

Mike made the Amherst Rep Baseball Team. He had his first practice yesterday. He had a practice at 1, and games at 3 and 6. 7 hours straight of playing baseball is way too much. Jacob had baseball at 3, and hockey at 5. We didn't get to eat supper until 930 last night. Mike is in the goalie school that he was invited to this week. He was so excited when he left this morning, I cannot wait to hear how it goes today. I hope he has fun.

Baseball tournament

Those crazy Lunn kids
I just had a huge post and it disappeared. *&%^*%&^&^%&^*(&*(&$#$#%* darn it. Oh well, life goes on, that's 30 mintues of my life wasted. EDITED - never mind it is there, I suck! LOL!

Mike was in a tournament this weekend. They won gold and he got MVP. He pitched for the first time ever, and amazed us, he is good! Here's some pictures.

Only 9 of our 14 players showed up, so we definately did not expect to go 4 and 0, and win gold!

Baseball Tournament

Those crazy Lunn kids

I am so burnt. I lathered the kids 3-4 times and forgot myself. I look like a raccoon, from where my sunglasses were, it sucks.

BUT....The Sackville Expos won the gold! Wowzas! Michel even got MVP! How exciting!

He had 3 games yesterday, 10, 1 and 4. It was a long day for Daddy and Mike, but I only took the kids to the end of the second and stayed for the last game. We won all three. Mike pitched two innings of the last game too. First time ever pitching and he did great. We were impressed and he'll probably pitch again during the regular season.

This weekend, he played catcher (his regular position) and third base, short stop, second and first base. As well as pitching. He was all over the place. Which is great, teaches him every position.

Last night we didn't get home until 730. We ate pizza put the kids in bed, watched a little tv and then went to bed. We were all exhausted.

Today the game was at 1. They did great. We won 19-12. It was a closer game than it sounds though. The kids got gold medals and a little toy. The kids had so much fun. Even the younger kids. Someone brought lego and they all played that the whole weekend. AND they got a little toy each also.

Well, we are going down to the trailer tomorrow morning and we'll be staying until next Sunday. It will be great to get away again. The kids are so good down there. We are going to Upper Clements Park on the 15 of August, with Timmy and Tracey and Wade and Mel and the crew of ids between us all. This week maybe we'll go to the Zoo. Fun fun!

I'll post some pictures of the tournament.

The bestest mamma in the world...............

Those crazy Lunn kids

Hilary was in trouble yesterday for talking back to me. We were dropping Mike off at baseball and I told her she was to go to her room when we got home.

We were almost home and she said "Mommy, you are the bestest mamma in the world". I knew she was sucking up so I just looked at her and then kept driving.

She said "And I know what you are thinking. You think I am just saying that so I won't be in trouble. WELL, I am NOT. I am saying to so I won't have to go to my room."

We got home and I told her to go to her room. She looks at me and says "Well, I am going to remember this next time I am in trouble!"

She is a nutball.

Rosie was in town!

Those crazy Lunn kids

Rosie's cruise was in Halifax today. I told dad (who drives a taxi the days he's not at the firestation), to wave to the ship for me and to look out for her. It was overcast most of the day, sunny spots, but not beautiful. I am going to watch the news in about 5 minutes to see what she did while she was here. I hope she enjoyed herself. BUT she didn't call.... the nerve! LOL!

Jacob went with Quinn and Joe to their father's company picnis today, so I was less 3 kids. But Mike had Brody over to play. You'd never even know Brody was here. They played playstation, biked, played outside and had lots of fun. Played seems like a funny word to use with 11 year olds!

Hilary and Zach were ok today too. I got alot of laundry done, and some cleaning that I was hoping to get done yesterday and didn't because they were so busy yesterday. Exciting!

Hilary has baseball tonight, and Bobby is going to practice with Mike while we watch Hil. They want him to try out for the rep baseball team, but I am not sure yet. We'll see.

We are talking about moving. It is scary and I am so not good with change, it makes my chest hurt. Oh well, this house is just getting too small for all of us. When the kids get older it will be worse, having 6 adults. I can't imagine.

Brody's mom just bought a house out the Beaverbank Road way. That's where we were looking on Sunday, that would be cool, I love Lynn, we are getting together for a girl's night soon, I need that, and believe me, so does she!

First vaca of the summer

Those crazy Lunn kids

I have a few weeks off this summer from babysitting, and boy did I anjoy the first. We were only going to the campground for the weekend, but stayed 12 days.

The kids were so great. Between us, we have 18 kids (8 families), that we all hang out together. All the kids get along so well. Even Jacob played with Tracey's boys for most of the weekend. He has such a hard time making friends. I was so excited when he was playing with them. Michael has such a huge personality and can talk to a wall, but Jacob kind of backs off a bit more.

Hilary is like Mike. She makes friends where ever she goes. Everytime she went to the playground, she made friends. We really have to watch her, she's much too friendly.

We lost Hilary on Saturday. The campground was overbooked and very busy, I was so scared. All the kids went down to the rec hall for a balloon toss. My boys, Tracey's boys and Mason came back, without Hil. I went down to get her as soon as they got back and she wasn't there. I looked around the playground and canteen for her and still no Hilary. I went up to the trailer and got everyone to help. We were all out looking for her, some on bikes, some in cars and some walking. I really panicked when people were looking for her around the pond. That's when I broke down and started to cry.

Turns out she was at Shawn and Sandra's with Allison. She went there after the balloon toss and was having a tea party. Hilary told the boys, but they didn't hear her. I grabbed onto her and started to sob when we finally got to her. I never want that feeling again, and do not wish it on anyone.

Saturday night Hilary stayed at Allison's for a sleepover, but didn't make it through the night. They called our cell at 230am saying she was crying. Steve went up to get her.

Zachary had a horrible week sleeping wise. He was up almost everynight. Usually the first night he wakes up, not knowing where he is, and then sleeps through the night the rest of the time. Not this week. I have alot of sleep to catch up on. Friday night he woke up at 1030 and we (Zach and I) were up until the sun woke up. It was horrible. He cried and cried.

The pool is finally open, each day we walked up about 4-5 times. We spent alot of the week there. Jacob goes in the deep end with water wings on now, and Hilary touches in the shallow end, so she is happy this year, and is finally putting her head under. Zach stays in the kiddy pool, but will go over and play a game with the older kids. He throws his Naked Mole Rat into the pool and the older kids see who can get it first. He laughs and laughs, it is funny.

It only rained Thursday night and some of Friday. Even then the kids were good. We had playstation in the shed, x-box at Tracey's, tv at Mel's and movies at our trailer. So the kids had something to do all day.

We sold our old windstar today.........finally. 400 bucks. It wasn't running ,the motor was gone, and I hated it but it was still sad to see it go.

Well, I have the boys I babysit this week Monday to Thursday and then I am off again. THANK GOD it's been a long day already at 12:00.

We have a baseball tournament this weekend and then we are going to the trailer for the week. The week after Mike has goalie camp, and I have the boys again that week.

Rosie's cruise is coming to Halifax tomorrow. I wish I could get in to try to catch a peek, but I hate crowds, I hyperventilate, and I have 6 kids tomorrow. Ain't gonna happen, I hope it is nice here for then, it is raining and thunder today.

I'll get some pictures posted.
