Those crazy Lunn kids

My kids are crazy. It is in their blood. They do and say crazy things. Sit, grab a beer and read about all the reasons why I drink!

Well, my boy is growing up. He went to his first J. High Dance. Tim drove him in his truck, music blaring, looking way too cool. He is trying out for the Jr. High hockey team today. He has his first girlfriend (Morgan doesn't count because they are best friends). He went to a party and met this floozie. One of his friends (Shane - my newest son since he is here all the time) told us Mike was grinding this girl and that they kissed after the party. WTF?????? I think Shane is my new favorite son too. How do I deal with that? I can't get mad and push him away. He is really good at asking and talking to us now. I don't want to ruin that. BUT, I cannot forget it either. I asked him to show me what 'grinding was' and he wouldn't, go figure. Anyway, I am not ready for this whole new chapter of our lives. I think homeschooling is the way to go right now. Only he knows more than I do. Can't they all just stay in pre-school? He has been doing really good with the Peewee A team. He doesn't have a goal against him yet. He has all shutouts. He is quite proud of himself.

Jacob is doing great in the new school. He has already been to a few birthday parties. He is in Intramurals at lunch and the running club after school. At his cross country track meet, he came in 70 something out of 98 kids. Yesterday was the second one and he came in 34th. He did awesome! He had his first away game as a flyer last night too. They won 5-3 against Darmouth. He is so proud to be on this team, it is funny. We have a great group of kids on the team too. Lots of new friends to be made!

Hilary is doing great at school also. She comes home with her mouth going a mile a minute about her classmates. She was moved back in gymnastics. They looked at the year she was born (1999) and moved her up in September. What they didn't realize was that she was born on the last day of 1999. She is just too young to be in the class. The next youngest is a year older than her. Physically she was doing everything, but mentally she was way off. I am so glad. 3days a week, 2 hours a day is alot for her. She is back to the 2 days, and hour and a half a day. She started yesterday and she came home laughing, she had a grand time!

And Zac............well, he is Zac. Still bad as usual. Actually he is getting better. He wants to start big school now. I am not ready for that, and have started drinking now for the first day of school next year. I think I am going to put him in skating lessons in January. The other kids have all started by now, but he just doesn't have the attention span for that I think. He is a pumpkin for halloween and hasn't taken the costume off since Erin dropped it off. He doesn't wear pants with it though. Lord help us on Halloween night when he has to. It is going to be a HUGE fight I think!
